B•Sew Inn is pleased to invite you and your students to participate in our Education Division Programs. We currently offer unique assistance in the fields of Technology Education, Family and Consumer Science Education, and Business/Entrepreneur Education. These programs feature the introduction of new computerized sewing/embroidery machines, patented sergers and computerized digitizing software into the classroom. Educational groups participating in our programs receive significant discounts when purchasing embroidery/monogramming machines, sergers, sewing machines, computer hardware and software, cabinets, chairs, irons, cutting tables and other needed supplies. With our equipment comes state-of-the-art educator training and classroom support. We also provide equipment maintenance plans and on-site service. Our Education Division Programs are currently in place within the states of Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Schools outside of these three states may qualify for the similar benefits.
2009-2010 Technology Loaner & Placement Program
New Equipment Programs from Baby Lock and B-Sew Inn
B•Sew Inn Education Division is excited to announce the return of the "Free Baby Lock Technology Traditional Loaner Program" for the 2009-2010 school year. This year it is our privilege to introduce to Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma classrooms the Baby Lock Ellageo (BLL) Embroidery/Sewing Machine, the Baby Lock Imagine Serger (No Tension- Jet Air Threading) and Designer’s Gallery MasterWorks2 Digitizing Software. Classrooms interested in pursuing Entrepreneur Programming and/or schools ready to teach embroidery at a professional, career level will want to inquire about our Equipment Placement Program which features the Baby Lock 6-needle Professional Machine and Designer’s Gallery MasterWorks2. 2009-2010 Education Challenge for FACS Educators and Educators on our Loaner Programs
The Education Challenge is a unique advanced learning program for FACS Educators and Educators on our Baby Lock Loaner Programs in the states of Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Develop your expertise using B•Sew Inn Products, BSI Educator Workshops, Guide Classes, Clubs, Baby Lock and Designer’s Gallery Workbooks, B•Sew Inn Special Events and the
new on-line Baby Lock and Designer’s Gallery Sew@Home Classes.
FYI-if you find that this form is still the 2008-2009 Challenge Form please check back in a couple of days. We have completed the updates but it will require a few days for the new information to post. Until it is active you may begin using the 2008-08 information to complete workbook hours and read contest information.

Although the 2009-2010 Student Digitizing Contest Information is not ready for posting, we left the links from the 2008-2009 Contest active so that schools and students can review the Contest Basics prior to the 2009-2010 Contest Start Date. There will be some changes in regards to student groupings but the information below will certainly give you an accurate preview of how the contest works.

The Baby Lock Student Digitizing Contest was implemented in 2006 to encourage students to develop their technology skills using Designer’s Gallery MasterWorks Software, which is state-of-the-art embroidery digitizing software. Over the past two years we have certainly been impressed by the entries received. The quality of workmanship reflects an understanding of techniques above a basic beginner level and we are looking forward to this year’s entries. Classrooms of the winning entries will receive the FREE use of a Baby Lock 6-Needle Embroidery Machine for the 2009-2010 school year.

School 2008-09 FACS Student Scholarship
B•Sew Inn Education Division awards three $500 scholarships to students that have participated in FACS classes during their high school years. One scholarship to a student in Arkansas schools. One scholarship to a student in Missouri schools. One scholarship to a student in Oklahoma schools. Applications for the 2010 Scholarship will post in January of 2010. These scholarships are underwritten by Baby Lock, USA, a division of Tacony Corporation.

2008-09 Student Scholarship Recipients
Each recipient received a $500 award to be used at the college of their choice for the 2009-2010 school year.
Oklahoma Scholarship Recipient – Megan Lee Fuller from Adair High School in Adair, Oklahoma is the 2008-09 Oklahoma Scholarship Recipient. Megan will be continuing her education at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Arkansas Scholarship Recipient – Dalana Kaylynn Starr from Farmington High School in Farmington, Arkansas is the 2008-09 Arkansas Scholarship Recipient. Dalana's college selection is unconfirmed as of this posting.
Missouri Scholarship Recipient – Cody Lynn McKenna from Bloomfield High School in Bloomfield, Missouri is the 2008-09 Missouri Scholarship Recipient. Cody chose to use her award for the Fall 2009 semester at Jefferson Community College in Hillsboro, Missouri.
Funding
During tight budget years, keeping your classroom up to date can be a struggle for you, the educator. In addition to your annual school budget, Federal and State Grants may be available for your school. Our Educational Consultant will assist you through each step of the process required to optimize your ability to achieve these available funds. Equipping your classroom with the newest technology may be easier than you think. Other schools across the nation are sewing and creating with top-of-the-line hi-tech equipment. There is no reason that you and your students should not be also. Remember, this a
FREE service!

For schools participating in our Education Division Programs we can arrange on-site demonstrations and guest speakers. (Availability is limited. Please book early in the school year. Some fees may apply.)
