How to Die Cut 3-Color Feather Star Blocks:
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller. Tip: The die is specially designed to cut one complete 3-color 16″ block in one pass through the cutter.
• Fabric Color 1:
– Cut one 65⁄8″ x 6″ rectangle. Place right side up over shape A to cut.
– Cut four 37⁄8″ squares. Place right side up over shapes D to cut.
– Cut four 6½” x 4½” rectangles, fanfolded in half. Place right side up over shapes F to cut.
• Fabric Color 2:
– Cut four 5¼” squares. Place right side up over shape B to cut.
– Cut four 85⁄8″ x 4¾” rectangles. Place right side up over shape C to cut.
– Cut three 6½” x 3½” rectangles. Place right side up over shapes G to cut.
– Cut four 47⁄8″ x 25⁄8″ rectangles. Place right side up over shapes I to cut.
• Fabric Color 3:
– Cut four 2¼” x 4″ rectangles. Place right side up over shapes H and E to cut.
– Cut two 6½” x 3½” rectangles. Place right side up over shapes G to cut.
– Cut two 47⁄8″ x 25⁄8″ rectangles. Place right side up over shapes I to cut.
