Springtime Quilt – Beginner Quilting Project

Use the Baby Lock Jazz sewing machine to create this springtime inspired quilting project. It is made from two simple blocks; the Square-in-a-Square block and the Rail Fence block.

Quilt Block Designs

The square-in-a-square quilt block is a classic quilting design. It consists of a center square surrounded by four triangles, which frame the block and create another square unit. Sometimes the center square is framed by just one set of triangles.

Rail Fence is a great beginner quilting project block! In this project, each rail fence block is made up of three segments cut from strip pieced fabrics. The finished rail fence block is the same size as a finished square-in-a-square quilt block.

What really makes this design Springtime are the fabrics that were used. The bright and colorful print mimics the flowers blooming and trees budding as spring continues!

Mix it up; maybe your finished quilt will be an Autumn quilt or Christmas quilt?
