When choosing fabrics for the quilt top, keep in mind that in order for the star to stand out and be the focus, the (8) fabrics that you choose for the star should contrast with the fabric(s) you choose for the background from a color perspective.

**Note: for our cover sample, we used eight fat quarters for the background but repeated four different fabrics twice.
