How to Die Cut 4-Color Weathervane Quilt Blocks:
For best cutting results, position fabric on the lengthwise grain (straight of grain) as it goes under the roller. Tip: The die is specially designed to cut one complete 4-color 8″ block in one pass through the cutter.
• Fabric Color 1: Cut one 3¾” square. Place right side up over shape A to cut.
• Fabric Color 2: Cut four 3¾” squares. Place right side up over shape B to cut.
• Fabric Color 3: Cut two 6″ x 4¾” rectangles, fanfolded in half. Place over shapes C to cut.
• Fabric Color 4: Cut six 5″ x 2¾” rectangles. Place right side up over shapes D to cut.
Measurements:
• Cut Size: Square (A): 3¼” x 3¼” (8.3 cm x 8.3 cm), Pentagon (B): 3¼” x 3¼” (8.3 cm x 8.3 cm), (2) Parallelograms (C): 3¼” x 17⁄8″ (7.3 cm x 4.8 cm) and (4) Half Square Triangles (D): 17⁄8″ x 17⁄8″ (4.8 cm x 4.8 cm).
• Finished Size: 8″ Finished Block (20.3 cm).
