Each year the B-Sew Inn store
in Oklahoma City selects a project for their Christmas Charity Club Project. In 2016, they selected Hearts for Hearing.
Hearts for Hearing provide hearing testing and speech therapy for children that have hearing loss. Jan Kinsey, the organizer for B-Sew Inn, reached out to them because she has a friend that has utilized their services for her son.
When Jan contacted the organization they were thrilled that we wanted to meet the need they had for blankets that are for the babies to rest on while they are having their hearing checked. Having a monochromatic color scheme was very important because prints can be distracting to children who are unable to hear since their primary sensory perception is vision.
The OKC B-Inspired Club members were able to complete 18 quilts for the Hearts for Hearing foundation.
